BUFF® is a Spanish brand that started back in 1992 when Joan Rojas, the owner of a textile factory in Catalonia and an enthusiast of motorsports, realized he needed a simple accessory to protect his neck and head from wind, cold, and harsh sunlight while riding.

The idea of a multifunctional military scarf that could transform into a mask, headwear, or scarf appealed to Rojas. Experiments with various materials and patterns at his family textile factory led him to create a seamless cylindrical microfiber scarf. After testing prototypes with family members, friends, and fellow athletes, the first collection of seamless bandanas under the BUFF® logo was launched in 1992.

In 2017, BUFF® significantly expanded its lineup to produce not just bandanas but also other types of headwear for both sports and everyday life.
