Technologies

• Coolnet UV+ is made from recycled polyester fiber. The weaving method and fiber shape provide enhanced capillary properties to absorb excess moisture (when in contact with wet skin), transport it to the outer layer of the fabric, and quickly evaporate it. The Coolnet UV+ fabric is also exceptionally lightweight (20% lighter than classic Original Buff), stretchy, and offers excellent sun protection properties with UPF 50+.
• Polygiene (Natural Silver Salt Technology) prevents unpleasant odors. Thanks to silver fibers derived from nature that possess antibacterial properties – this active odor control technology ensures no worries about unpleasant smells even after multiple washes.
• Ultrastretch is an elastic material that stretches uniformly in all directions due to added elastane. Its main advantages include hygroscopicity, breathability, hypoallergenicity, and thermal conductivity.
• High UV Protection is clothing specifically designed to protect against ultraviolet rays which reduces their negative impact on the body.

Brand

BUFF® is a Spanish brand founded in 1992 when Joan Rojas identified the need for a simple accessory that protects the neck and head while riding motorcycles against wind chill or sun exposure.

Rojas was inspired by multifunctional military scarves transforming into masks or headwear. Experiments at his family textile factory led him to create seamless microfiber tubular scarves. After testing prototypes among friends and athletes he launched BUFF®'s first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.

In 2017 BUFF® expanded its product range beyond bandanas into other types of headwear suitable for both sports and everyday life.
