Technology

• Coolnet UV+: A material made of recycled polyester fibers. The weaving method and fiber shape give the fabric enhanced capillary properties allowing it to absorb excess moisture (upon contact with wet skin), transfer it to the outer layer of the fabric, and evaporate quickly. Coolnet UV+ fabric is also extremely lightweight (20% lighter than classic Buff Originals), elastic, with excellent UPF 50+ sun protection properties.

Brand

BUFF® – a Spanish brand whose story began in 1992 when Joan Rojas , owner of a Catalan textile factory passionate about motorcycling concluded he needed a simple accessory for more comfortable motorcycle rides protecting his neck and head from wind chill or blazing sun .

Joan liked military multifunctional scarf concept which could turn into face mask , hair wrap or scarf . Experiments at his family 's textile factory with different materials & cutting shapes led Rojas discovering how produce seamless microfiber cylindrical scarf . After prototypes were tested by family friends & athlete colleagues Buff® launched first collection seamless bandanas back in1992 under its name BUFF®.

By2017 BUFF® significantly expanded model line producing not only bandanas but other head covering items both sportswear & everyday use .
