Technology

• Coolnet UV+, made from recycled polyester fiber. The weaving method and the shape of the fibers give the fabric enhanced capillary properties, allowing it to absorb excess moisture (in contact with wet skin) and transfer it to the outer layer of the fabric for quick evaporation. Coolnet UV+ fabric is also extremely lightweight (20% lighter than classic Buff Original), flexible, and offers excellent sun protection UPF 50+.

Brand

BUFF® is a Spanish brand established in 1992 by Joan Rojas who was passionate about motorcycles. He came up with an idea for a simple accessory that would protect the neck and head from wind chill and burning sun during motorcycle rides.

The concept evolved into creating multifunctional military-style scarves that could be transformed into masks or headwear. Through experimentation at his family textile factory with different materials and cut shapes, Rojas developed seamless microfiber tubular scarves. After testing prototypes among family members friends athletes in '92 BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas.

Soon after BUFF® significantly expanded its range producing not only bandanas but also various headwear items suitable for both sport activities everyday use.
