BUFF® is a Spanish brand that began its journey in 1992 when Joan Rojas, a motorcycle enthusiast and owner of a Catalan textile factory, came up with the idea for a simple accessory to protect the neck and head from wind, cold, and scorching sun to make motorcycle rides more comfortable.

The concept of a multifunctional military scarf that could be transformed into a mask or headscarf caught Rojas's interest. Experimentation in his family's textile factory with various materials and cuts led Rojas to create a seamless microfiber cylindrical scarf. After testing prototypes with family, friends, and athletes he knew, the first collection of seamless bandanas under the BUFF® name launched in 1992.

By 2017, BUFF® had significantly expanded its range of designs to produce not just bandanas but also other headwear items suitable for both sports and everyday life.
