The Brand

BUFF® is a Spanish brand that began in 1992 when Joan Rojas, an avid motorcyclist and owner of a Catalan textile factory, came up with an idea for a simple accessory to protect the neck and head from wind, cold air, and blazing sun for more comfortable motorcycle rides.

The idea was inspired by military multifunctional scarves that could transform into masks or headbands. Rojas experimented with different materials and cut shapes at his family’s textile factory until he found a way to produce seamless tubular scarves made of microfiber. After testing prototypes with family members and friends who were athletes themselves, BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.

Brought up-to-date in 2017, BUFF® significantly expanded its range by producing not just bandanas but also other head-covering items suitable for both sports activities and everyday life.
