Brand Story

BUFF® is a Spanish brand whose history began in 1992 when Joan Rojas, a motorcycle enthusiast and owner of a Catalan textile factory came up with the idea for a simple accessory to protect the neck and head from wind, coldness, and scorching sun for more comfortable motorcycle rides.

Rojas liked the idea of a multifunctional military scarf that could be transformed into a mask or headscarf. Experimenting at his family’s textile factory with different materials and cut shapes led Rojas to discover how to produce seamless cylindrical microfiber scarves. After prototypes were tested by relatives, friends, and athletes known to Rojas, BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.

In 2017 BUFF® significantly expanded its range of designs producing not only bandanas but also other headwear items for both sports activities as well as everyday life.
