Technologies

• Coolnet UV+ is a material created on the basis of recycled polyester fiber. The weaving method and the shape of the fibers themselves provide the fabric with increased capillary properties, which allows it to absorb excess moisture (upon contact with wet skin), transfer it to the outer layer of the fabric and quickly evaporate. Coolnet UV+ fabric is also extremely lightweight (20% lighter than the classic Original Buff), elastic and has excellent sun protection properties UPF 50+.
• HeiQ Smart Temp is an intelligent thermoregulatory technology for fabrics that is triggered by body heat to maintain optimal body temperature.
• Polygiene (Natural Silver Salt Technology) is a technology that prevents unpleasant odor. Due to the silver threads included in the composition, obtained from nature, which have antibacterial properties, this is an active odor control technology. Without bacterial spread, you can not worry about an unpleasant odor. This property of the material is preserved after multiple washes.
• Ultrastretch is an elastic fabric that stretches evenly in all directions due to the addition of elastane. The main advantages of this material are: hygroscopicity, air permeability, hypoallergenicity and thermal conductivity.

Brand

BUFF® is a Spanish brand whose history began in 1992, when the owner of one of the Catalan textile factories, Juan Rojas, a motorcyclist, came to the conclusion that for more comfortable riding a motorcycle, a simple accessory was needed to protect the neck and head from the headwind, cold and scorching sun.

Rojas liked the idea of a multifunctional military scarf that could be transformed into a mask, headdress or scarf. Experimenting with different materials and cuts at his family textile factory, Rojas found a way to produce a seamless cylindrical microfiber scarf. After prototypes were tested by Rojas's relatives, friends, and fellow athletes, the first collection of seamless bandanas under the BUFF® logo was launched in 1992.

In 2017, BUFF® significantly expanded its product line, starting to produce not only bandanas, but also other headwear for both sports and everyday life.
