Technology
- Polygiene(Natural technology with silver salt) — this tech prevents unpleasant odors thanks to natural silver threads with antibacterial properties. Without bacterial spread, there's no need to worry about bad smells; this property lasts even after numerous washes.
- Merino Wool — sourced from Australian merino sheep, this unique wool is a natural material that's incredibly soft and hygroscopic. It keeps you warm even when wet and wicks moisture away from your skin. This technology helps it withstand very low temperatures while its fine fibers (65-100 mm long and under 24 microns in diameter) provide excellent thermal regulation and breathability.
The Brand
BUFF® is a Spanish brand that began its journey in 1992 when Juan Rojas, a motorcycle racing enthusiast and owner of a textile factory in Catalonia, felt the need for a simple accessory to protect his neck and head from wind chill and harsh sun during rides.
Liking the idea of multifunctional military-style scarves that could be transformed into masks or headgear, Rojas experimented with different materials and cuts until he developed a seamless microfiber tubular scarf. After testing prototypes with family members, friends, and fellow athletes in 1992 BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas.
Soon after in 2017 BUFF® significantly expanded its range to include not just bandanas but also various headwear for both sports enthusiasts and everyday life.
