The BUFF® brand originated in Spain back in 1992 when Joan Rojas—an avid motorcyclist and owner of a Catalan textile factory—came up with the idea for a simple accessory to protect the neck and head from wind, cold weather, and scorching sun during rides.

The concept of a multifunctional military-style scarf that could transform into a mask or headband intrigued Rojas. His experimentation with different materials led to the discovery of how to produce seamless microfiber tubular scarves. After testing prototypes among friends and fellow athletes in Rojas' circle, the first collection of seamless bandanas under the BUFF® label was launched in 1992.

Since then, BUFF® has significantly expanded its range of products beyond just bandanas to include various headwear items suitable for both sports and everyday life.
