Technology
- Primaloft® This synthetic material offers high thermal insulation properties. Laboratory tests show that PrimaLoft mimics the softness of goose down while being much softer than other similar insulating materials. This allows PrimaLoft products to mold according to the body's shape.
- Ultrastretch This elastic fabric stretches evenly in all directions thanks to added elastane. Key benefits include moisture-wicking properties, breathability, hypoallergenic characteristics, and thermal conductivity.
- High UV Protection This clothing is specifically designed to protect against UV rays while reducing their negative effects on the body.
The Brand
Buff® is a Spanish brand founded in 1992 by Juan Rojas who was passionate about motorcycle racing and owned a textile factory in Catalonia. He sought a simple accessory that would protect his neck and head from incoming wind, cold temperatures, and harsh sunlight for more comfortable rides.
The idea of creating a multifunctional military-style scarf that could transform into a mask or headscarf led Rojas to experiment with different materials at his family's textile factory until he found a way to produce seamless microfiber tubular scarves. After testing prototypes with family members and friends among athletes he knew, Buff® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.
By 2017, Buff® significantly expanded its range of designs producing not only bandanas but also other headwear items suitable for both sports activities and daily life.
