The Brand

This BUFF® brand hails from Spain and started its journey back in 1992 when Joan Rojas—a motorcycle enthusiast owning a Catalan textile factory—came up with the idea for a simple accessory that protects the neck and head from wind, cold, and scorching sun to make motorcycle rides more comfortable.

An idea sparked by Rojas was creating a multifunctional military scarf that could transform into a mask or headscarf. Experimenting at his family's textile factory with different materials led Rojas to discover how to produce seamless microfiber tubular scarves. After prototypes were tested by family members, friends, and athletes known to Rojas, BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.
