In 1935, after a tragedy drove him to innovate, Vitale Bramani designed an outsole that provides excellent traction on mixed surfaces. Using vulcanized rubber technology, he created the Carrarmato design, which quickly gained fame. Even today, it remains one of the most popular soles among mountain climbers. Asolo’s footwear features outsoles designed by Asolo and manufactured by Vibram.

Schoeller Soft Shell Technology

The roots of today’s Schoeller Textil AG are linked to a time of new beginnings. The 1860s saw the rise of organizations like the Swiss Red Cross and major architectural achievements such as the Gotthard Tunnel. This innovative spirit led to the establishment of our company: In 1868, Rudolph Schoeller moved to Zürich and launched Switzerland’s first worsted yarn spinning mill in Schaffhausen under the name “Schoeller & Söhne," the precursor to today’s Schoeller Textil AG.

The all-in-one soft-shell:

A classic soft-shell for year-round use. Two textile surfaces are bonded with a highly breathable coating through a special process. This coating adds extra protection from wind and water. The result is soft-shell fabrics suitable for various needs and seasons.

Construction:
