BUFF® is a Spanish brand that began its journey in 1992 when Joan Rojas, owner of a Catalan textile factory and motorsport enthusiast, realized that a simple accessory was needed for more comfortable motorcycle rides to protect the neck and head from opposing winds, cold weather, and blazing sun.

The idea of a multifunctional military scarf that could transform into a mask, headwear, or scarf intrigued Rojas. Experiments at his family’s textile factory with various materials and cutting shapes led him to create a seamless cylindrical microfiber scarf. After prototypes were tested by relatives and friends who were athletes themselves, BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.
