Brand Story

The BUFF® brand is Spanish and began its journey in 1992 when Joan Rojas—a motorcycle enthusiast and owner of a Catalan textile factory—conceived an accessory to protect the neck and head from wind, cold, and harsh sun to make motorcycle travel more comfortable.

The idea of a multifunctional military-style scarf that could transform into a mask or headband fascinated Rojas. Experimentation in his family’s textile factory led him to create a seamless microfiber cylindrical scarf. After testing prototypes with family members, friends, and athletes known to Rojas, the first collection of seamless bandanas was launched under the BUFF® label in 1992.

SInce then BUFF® has significantly expanded its range by producing not only bandanas but also other headwear items suitable for sports as well as everyday life.
