Rab Valiance Ski Jacket — crafted for those intense winter adventures, this warm down jacket for men is fully waterproof and filled with European certified 800 Fill Power goose down. Fully taped seams and the waterproof Pertex® Shield membrane ensure the insulation you need for maximum protection in wet conditions. The cuffs and hood feature additional insulation from a special Pyrotec™ material that dries quickly, along with a convenient tightening mechanism at the bottom of the jacket.

Technology

• Pertex® Shield — windproof and waterproof material featuring a climate polyurethane membrane, offering high water resistance and breathability. It has high durability yet low weight. Often used to reinforce abrasion-prone areas of ultra-lightweight waterproof clothing.
• Fill Power — a characteristic that describes how much space a limited amount of down fills within a specific volume. The physical significance of Fill Power – is the volume in cubic inches occupied by an ounce of down. The higher the Fill Power, the better quality the down is considered to be. Outdoor equipment typically uses Fill Power values of at least 550 units; values of 650 units or more are considered excellent. High Fill Power down stands out not only by having greater volume per unit mass but also by having lower thermal resistance per unit thickness compared to standard values.
