• wINDSTOPPER® – an ultra-thin protective layer applied to microfleece that offers total windproofing. The membrane is made from a multifunctional polymer PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), which breaks down to form a microporous structure. The micropores are 900 times larger than water vapor molecules, allowing sweat to evaporate freely through the membrane. This means that the WINDSTOPPER® membrane adds complete wind protection capabilities to any fabric without affecting its original breathability or weight.

Brand

BUFF® is a Spanish brand founded in 1992 by Joan Rojas, who was passionate about motorcycles and owned a textile factory in Catalonia. He came up with the idea of a simple accessory that would protect the neck and head from wind, cold, and scorching sun, making motorcycle rides more comfortable.

Rojas loved the concept of a multifunctional military scarf that could be transformed into a mask or headscarf. Experimentation in his family's textile factory with various materials led Rojas to create a seamless microfiber tubular scarf. After prototypes were tested by family members, friends, and athletes known to Rojas, BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.

In 2017, BUFF® significantly expanded its range of products beyond bandanas to include various headwear for both sports and everyday life.
