Technology

• Primaloft® - a synthetic material that has high thermal insulation properties. Laboratory tests have shown that PrimaLoft has the same softness as goose down but is much softer than other similar insulating materials. Because of this feature, all products made from PrimaLoft can be molded as needed: the clothing adapts to the shape of your body.
• Ultrastretch - an elastic fabric that stretches evenly in all directions due to the addition of elastane. The main advantages of this material are its hygroscopicity, breathability, hypoallergenic properties, and thermal conductivity.

The Brand

A Spanish brand BUFF® started its journey in 1992 when Joan Rojas—a motorcycle enthusiast and owner of a Catalan textile factory—came up with an idea for a simple accessory to protect the neck and head from wind, cold, or scorching sun to make motorcycling more enjoyable.

The concept was inspired by military multifunctional scarves that could transform into masks or headscarves. By experimenting with various materials at his family's textile factory—Rojas discovered how to create seamless microfiber tubular scarves. After prototypes were tested by friends and athlete acquaintances in 1992 BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas.

Soon after in 2017 BUFF® significantly expanded its model range producing not just bandanas but also many other head-covering items for both sports use as well as everyday life.
