Technology

• Coolnet UV+: A material made from recycled polyester fibers. Its weaving method and fiber shape provide enhanced wicking properties that absorb excess moisture (when in contact with wet skin), transferring it to the outer layer of the fabric for rapid evaporation. Coolnet UV+ is also extremely lightweight (20% lighter than classic Buff Originals), elastic, and offers excellent solar protection properties up to UPF 50+.
• HeiQ Smart Temp: A smart temperature-regulating technology activated by body heat to maintain optimal body temperature.
• Polygiene (Natural Silver Salt Technology): Prevents unpleasant odors. Thanks to natural silver threads included in its composition which have antibacterial properties—this is an active odor control technology. Brand

BUFF® – A Spanish brand founded in 1992 by Joan Rojas who realized while motorcycling that a simple accessory was needed to protect his neck and head from wind chill and intense sun exposure.

Rojas was inspired by the idea of creating a multifunctional military scarf that could transform into a mask or headband. His experiments led him to produce seamless microfiber tubular scarves. After testing prototypes among family members and athlete friends, BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.

By 2017 BUFF® significantly expanded its model range starting production not only of bandanas but also other headwear items suitable for both sports activities as well as daily life.
