For the best fit, this backpack should sit snugly against your back, ensuring the load is evenly distributed. The Active Comfort Fit back system enhances carrying comfort with its stable and padded design.

Aircomfort system

SL Women’s fit

This model is also available in the SL version, designed specifically for women. Typically, women have shorter backs than men, so the SL back length is a bit shorter than that of Deuter’s standard backpacks. Additionally, the carrying system is customized to fit female anatomy perfectly. More info available on our site.

We focus on maximum ventilation for our small to medium volume backpacks that are perfect for easier terrains. The secret sauce of the Aircomfort system is the permanently elastic spring steel frame, which maintains the airy mesh’s stable tension even under hefty loads, creating a ventilated space between the backpack and your back, allowing moisture to evaporate freely.

50% recycled

Half of the yarn used is made from recycled materials, helping to save 12% in greenhouse gases.

PFAS free

No PFAS (per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in this product! PFAS can repel water, dirt, and grease but are persistent chemicals harmful to people, animals, and the planet. Instead, Deuter uses durable water-repellent finishes (DWR) that are safe for both the environment and human health, entirely free from these "forever chemicals."

"210D 600D PES

Woven from 600 denier polyester yarn and with a thick PU coating, this tear resistant and light fabric is highly versatile. Whenever it’s about keeping the weight of the backpack as low as possible with moderate stress, then this is the ideal solution. The “deuter Super Polytex BS” version is produced in compliance with the stringent bluesign® standard. Its features and stress factors are identical.

  • * D stands for denier. This describes the yarn weight. 600D corresponds to 600 grams per 9000 meters.
  • * PES stands for polyester. PES fibres are very tear and abrasion resistant and hardly absorb moisture.
  • * PA stands for polyamide. PA fibres are extremely durable and abrasion-resistant. They are also characterized by high elasticity and low weight.
