Technology

• Coolnet UV+ – made from recycled polyester fiber. The weaving method and fiber shape give the fabric enhanced capillary properties allowing it to absorb excess moisture (when in contact with wet skin), transfer it to the outer layer of the fabric, and quickly evaporate. Coolnet UV+ fabric is also extremely lightweight (20% lighter than classic Buff Original), stretchy, and provides excellent sun protection with UPF 50+.

Brand

BUFF® – a Spanish brand established in 1992 by Joan Rojas who was passionate about motorcycling. He realized that for a more comfortable ride one needs an accessory that protects the neck and head from wind chill as well as harsh sunlight.

Rojas loved the idea of a multifunctional military scarf capable of transforming into a mask or headband. Experiments conducted at his family’s textile factory led Rojas to find a way to produce seamless microfiber cylindrical scarves. After prototypes were tested by family members friends, as well as fellow athletes Rojas launched BUFF®'s first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.

In 2017 BUFF® significantly expanded its line introducing not just bandanas but also other head covering items for both sports activities and everyday life.
