BUFF® is a Spanish brand that started its journey in 1992 when Joan Rojas, a motorcycle enthusiast and owner of a Catalan textile factory, came up with the idea of creating a simple accessory to protect the neck and head from wind, cold, and harsh sunlight to make motorcycle rides more comfortable.

Rojas loved the idea of a multifunctional military scarf that could transform into a mask or headscarf. Experimentation at his family’s textile factory with various materials and cut shapes led Rojas to discover how to produce seamless microfiber tubular scarves. After prototypes were tested by friends, family, and athletes he knew, the first collection of seamless bandanas under the BUFF® logo was launched in 1992.

By 2017, BUFF® had significantly expanded its range of products beyond bandanas to include other headwear items suitable for both sports and everyday life.
