BUFF® is a Spanish brand founded in 1992 by Joan Rojas who was passionate about motorcycles and owned a Catalan textile factory. He came up with the idea for a simple accessory to protect the neck and head from wind, cold, and burning sun to make motorcycle travel more comfortable.

The concept was inspired by multifunctional military scarves that could be transformed into masks or headbands. Experimentation with various materials at his family’s textile factory led Rojas to create a seamless microfiber tubular scarf. After prototypes were tested by family members and friends within Rojas’ sports circle, BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.

By 2017, BUFF® significantly expanded its range of designs beyond just bandanas to include other headwear suitable for both sport and daily life.
