Technology

• Merino Wool — Comes from Australian Merino sheep, known for its unique characteristics. It’s a natural and super soft material where the fiber's center is hygroscopic. The Brand

BUFF® is a Spanish brand that started in 1992 when Juan Rojas, a motorcycle racing enthusiast and owner of a textile factory in Catalonia, realized he needed a simple accessory to protect his neck and head from approaching winds, chilliness, and bright sunlight for more comfortable journeys.

The idea of creating a multifunctional military-style scarf that could be transformed into a mask or headband sparked Rojas’s creativity. Experimentation at his family textile factory with various materials led him to discover how to create seamless microfiber tubular scarves. After prototypes were tested by family members and friends within Rojas's sporting circles, BUFF® launched its first collection of seamless bandanas in 1992.

Soon after in 2017, BUFF® significantly expanded its range of designs beyond just bandanas into other headwear items suitable for both sports activities as well as everyday life.
